"I could crush you...but I won't...today."

Ullrich won the Giro tt. He made a statement today that he'll be ready for the Tour de France; as I posted earlier, this is his "tuneup" race. Basso was 27 seconds behind, so he remains the GC leader. The hard cycling hasn't started yet, so we'll see what happens on the mountains, but certainly Basso must be favored.
